Ellen Hiestand, OT/OTD

Ellen is a Minnesota native with a passion for all things occupational therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in public health and public policy and her doctorate in occupational therapy from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ellen grew as a therapist through clinical rotations including a no-cost community clinic, inpatient rehabilitation, and as an outpatient therapist in long-term care for older adults. She is passionate about healthcare access for all, women’s health, and treating each person holistically based on their own needs and priorities. 

In her free time, Ellen loves to spend time alone or with family and friends reading, cooking, dancing, and going on long hikes. Ellen is excited to explore Boulder further and can’t wait to meet the people that are the fabric of this beautiful place!
